Specialized in creating unique hotel projects from scratch, we have extensive experience in the field of architectural heritage restoration. We excel in analyzing the economic feasibility of the project and in creating the concept, interior design, and positioning in the luxury hotel sector for an exclusive clientele.
Hidden Away Hotels occupies a category of its own, thanks to its combination of the uniqueness and history of the building itself and our exclusive model of personalized service. Our goal is ambitious: to leverage and respect the hidden history of iconic buildings and transform them into an experience that respects the local charm of the destination, in a luxurious setting with meticulous, exclusive, excellent, and uncompromising service.
Carmen Cordón
Member of one of the most well-known business families in Spain (on the Forbes list of 2022). Founders and owners of the insurance company Previasa and the largest private hospital group in Spain: Grupo Hospitalario Quirón, retiring from their involvement in 2015.
Carmen, along with her husband Ignacio Jiménez, is creating her own hotel empire. Hidden Away Hotels was founded in 2014 as a springboard for the opening of their first hotel in Mallorca: “Posada Terra Santa.” She is a qualified journalist with a degree in Information Sciences from San Pablo CEU University and Complutense University of Madrid, and an MBA from IE.
Ignacio Jiménez
Part of a prominent family of professionals in Granada in various fields, including architects who have carried out significant renovations and projects in the city of Granada and throughout Andalusia. Ignacio has a law degree from the University of Granada and an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa. Before founding Hidden Away Hotels, he worked for over 15 years for two prominent Spanish hotel chains.
Both have successfully positioned the five hotels in the chain as some of the best accommodations in their respective destinations, thanks to their ability to restore architectural and cultural heritage, as well as their innovative model of personalized service. Currently, they are leading the luxury hotel sector in Europe.
